How a session works
From booking to smooth skin: six steps, no surprises.
Booking and consultation
Choose your zones and leave your phone number. Yana confirms the time on WhatsApp and, at the first visit, checks your skin type, hair colour and health questions.
Preparation at home
Shave the zone the evening before. No waxing, epilator or plucking for 4 weeks and no sunbathing or self-tan for 2 weeks before.
Protective glasses
You lie down comfortably and put on protective glasses; the laser light never reaches your eyes.
Cooling gel
A thin layer of cooling gel goes on the zone. It protects the skin and gives the cooled window even contact.
The laser, zone by zone
Yana moves the cooled 808 nm window across the zone with settings for your skin. You feel a short warm tingle; underarms take a few minutes.
After the session and the course
The skin can be a little pink for a few hours. Skip sauna and the gym for 1–2 days, use SPF 50, and come back in 4–8 weeks for the next session.

Where your session takes place
A private cabinet at Overvliet 22 in Utrecht, made for one client at a time: clean like a clinic, calm like home.
Sterile
After every client the treatment bed, the laser window and the protective glasses are cleaned and disinfected. You lie on a fresh disposable sheet, and Yana works in gloves.
Cosy
A soft treatment bed, Yana’s warm chocolate blanket and calm light. No salon noise, no rush: the session runs at your pace.
Private
Only you and Yana in the room, with the door closed. You uncover just the zone being treated; the rest of you stays under the blanket.

Questions before your first visit
How many sessions will I need?
Usually 6 to 8 sessions per zone for a lasting result, with 4–8 weeks between them. You will see fewer and thinner hairs after the first session. It depends on your hair, skin and hormones, so Yana gives you an honest estimate at the first visit.
How do I prepare?
Shave the zone 12–24 hours before. Do not wax, use an epilator or pluck for 4 weeks before, avoid sunbathing and self-tan for 2 weeks, and come without cream or deodorant on the zone.
What about after the session?
For 1–2 days skip the sauna, hot baths, the gym and scrubs. Use SPF 50 on open zones and avoid tanning between sessions.
Does it work on light or grey hair?
The diode laser works on the pigment in the hair. Dark hair responds best; very light blond, grey or red hair responds weakly. Not sure? Send a photo on WhatsApp.
Is it suitable for everyone?
Before the first session Yana asks a few health questions. Sometimes it is better to wait, for example during pregnancy or with an inflamed skin area.
